Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health Burn Unit Recovery Suite Renovation
The project was a multi-phased, patient-occupied renovation of Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health’s Burn Unit. Construction began with a complete demolition and remodel of 3,532 sf of hospital space which was renovated as a Recovery ward for the Burn Unit. Construction activities adjoined the Burn Unit, and a sleep lab for which our daily activities had to be coordinated for noise and service interruptions. The greatest care was taken during this renovation to control the migration of construction dust through temporary barriers, negative air machines, and hepa filters.
